A nobleman of Border Town and Nana's father. He gives the impression of a calm, responsible, and steady man who relies on common sense and his own strength. Unlike many local aristocrats, he carries himself without arrogance, knows how to earn the respect of those around him, and takes his duties seriously. His attachment to his family and his sense of responsibility shape much of his behavior.
A hunter and landowner with a practical view of life. After learning that Nana is a witch, Tigui is forced to face a painful choice, yet his love for his daughter proves stronger than fear and prejudice. This inner conflict shows clearly that personal bonds matter more to him than convention or public pressure.
