An eight-year-old boy who suffered from Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia (ALL) became friends with Dr. Takao while she was a resident in the Pediatrics Department. Throughout his life, he believed that angels would come and take him on the day he died — a belief that remained with him until his final moments.
