Another friend of Kino and Haga who is nearly, but not quite, as negative as Nozomu. In the manga, Aoyama was also given the responsibility to become the substitute 'Mr. Despair' which he keeps up for a couple chapters before quitting because he 'can't help but see a little bit of hope in everything'.
